Heat wave to continue into weekend; stormy forecast
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Taunton is predicting temperatures to top out at 94 degrees in Kingston for both tomorrow and Friday.
Some locations in New England might even crack the century-mark this late week, according to Boston.com.
Southern New England has been in the grips of a heat wave for several days, which has brought heat advisories and near-90 degree temperatures to the region. That trend is expected to continue through Saturday, according to the NWS.
Relief will come on Sunday with high temperatures expected to top out in the low-80’s and a chance of severe thunderstorms.
The NWS recommends wearing light and loose-fitting clothing during excessive temperatures and drinking plenty of water during extreme heat.
