LOVETT OR LEAVE IT: Additional bans issued by Town Locals admin

facebook-147KINGSTON- In an apparent attempt to quash any remaining opposition to his ban of KJ.com News Editor Bradford Randall, Town Locals ~ Kingston MA Facebook group administrator Ben Lovett has been issuing bans to additional members who questioned the June 19 banning of Randall.

Kingston-resident Tom Augello, of Tarklin Road, was among those banned shortly after the Journal published an editorial entitled “Castaway.”

This week, Augello called his ban “ridiculous” and blamed his exile from the all-things Kingston Facebook group on his defense of Randall. Augello told the Journal that he has “always tried to be respectful” on Facebook and couldn’t imagine a reason, besides his defense of Randall, that would have caused his ban.

Questions to Lovett regarding the banning of Augello have remained unanswered.

Lovett has also since deleted all posts relevant to the banning of Randall, erasing any virtual record of his words.

towncommonsMerrick Sousa, another user critical of Lovett’s June 19 ban of Randall, was also banned without warning after calling Lovett a “puppett” and publicly questioning the reasoning behind Randall’s ban.

Both Sousa and Augello are currently members of Town Commons ~ Kingston MA, an alternative Kingston Facebook group recently created by Randall. Town Commons ~ Kingston MA has grown to 532 members since its founding a week ago.
